Avv. Gino Bottiglioni was born in Bologna on the 24/03/1965.
After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the University of Bologna where he graduated in 1989 with 110/110 cum laude with a thesis on criminal law, supervised by prof. Nicola Mazzacuva.
After the degree, he joined Prof. Filippo Sgubbi and Prof. Nicola Mazzacuva as expert on the subject of criminal law, holding lectures and specialization courses for students of criminal matters.
He served as Honorary Deputy Attorney at Public Prosecutor’s office in Bologna for three years.
He is a barrister from 1994 –bar of Bologna- and from 2006 he is qualified to aid before the Court of Cassation.
Gino has always dealt with criminal law and, in particular, the criminal law of the economy, working in multiple and relevant trials in the areas of bankruptcy, corporate, financial, tax as well as occupational safety and environment law.
An equally significant area of professional activity is the defence of professionals and managers in criminal proceedings relating to property offences, trademark and patent protection, as well as to the crimes of the penal code aimed at the protection of the Public Administration.
Outside the economic and company sphere, he provides legal assistance to health professionals accused of medical malpractice.
A number of his cases have also been reported by the press.
He also assists companies and legal entities at judicial level suspected/accused pursuant to D. Lgs. n. 231/2001.
He participates as a speaker in seminars, conferences and training meetings.
Author of publications on criminal law and, in particular, on economic criminal law.
